I – me – that is myself – finished an actual, honest to God piece of lace.  Me.  I knitted it!  And…here it is:

It is the four hour scarf from ‘Last Minute Knitted Gifts’ by Joelle Hoverson of Purl SOHO.  Ain’t it purdy?!  Now I get to make three more because stupid me thought it took a crapload more yarn than it did to make it and I have one and a half skeins of mohair left over.  Hmmm…I wonder what everyone’s getting as gifts this year…? :o)

I usually don’t dress my dog, she does not like it one bit and as soon as I put anything on her she starts rubbing herself on anything within her realm in a desperate attempt to remove whatever item I have put on her.  However, I couldn’t help myself.  I saw the cutest thing the other day…a t-shirt for my dog that says ‘Momma is a Yarn Ho’. I bought it and here it is in action:

She was being majorly bribed to sit there while I took the photo, btw.  Oh, and the big black thing on her collar is the wireless fence we have to have because her Dad taught her to run over to my apartment (I was living next door when we met, and you can probably guess how we met) to say hello and now she KEEPS running over to my apartment to say hello even though I don’t live there anymore!

The shirt was on for a grand total of five minutes.

Seriously.  There is nothing happening in my life at this time.  I get up, I go to work, I go try to kill myself at the gym for an hour (elliptical machines were invented by a masochist), I go home, I work some more, I cook dinner, yell at my teenager (who is now grounded for a MONTH by the way which I have never had to do before but this was a particularly heinous crime.  LYING about going to the movies and then MEETING HER BF.  She’s lucky that killing her is a crime.  She’s at my sister’s in PA for this vacation week because if she were still here she’d be dead and I’d be in jail.  WHAT was she thinking?!  Does it not occur to her that I used to pull the same crap – hence the reason why she exists – NOT SO LONG AGO and I know the tricks?!?!)…where was I?  Ohyeah, yelling at my teenager, then I knit for a few hours which watching TV before falling into bed, sleeping and waking up to be able to do it all over again.  *sigh*

Okay I guess I have been knitting a little bit, I’ll post some photos either later today or tomorrow.  I’ve also been making beaded stitch markers which I am planning on selling on eBay and hopefully some local stores if they’ll have me.  I’ll post some photos of those, too….

That’s it…that’s all I got.
