Who’s the most awesome blogfriend a girl could have?

<p>That would have to be <a href="http://jessaluknits.com/exit.php?url_id=132&amp;entry_id=33" title="http://meshugemoo.blogspot.com/" onmouseover="window.status=’http://meshugemoo.blogspot.com/’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;">Laurie!! (and her hubby, Tom ESPECIALLY Tom.  TOM is the most awesome cheesecake-baker in the whole blogosphere.  In the world, maybe.  At least in MY world ;o) )</a></p> <p>Guess what was waiting for me when I got home from work today…</p> <div style="text-align: left;"><img style="border-width: 0pt; margin: 0.7em 0pt;" alt="medium_10-27-2005_012.jpg" src="http://jessaluknits.blogspirit.com/images/medium_10-27-2005_012.jpg" /></div> <p>that would be CHEESECAKE!!! Woooo!!! (we love Laurie AND TOM.  TOM is AWESOME!!  His cheesecake is superduperdeelicious!!)</p> <p>It’s a small one, because I knew there was no way in hell I’d be able to restrain myself from eating the ENTIRE thing once it crossed my threshold.</p> <p>I was right.</p> <p>First, I had to wrest it away from the teen</p> <div style="text-align: left;"><img style="border-width: 0pt; margin: 0.7em 0pt;" alt="medium_10-27-2005_013.jpg" src="http://jessaluknits.blogspirit.com/images/medium_10-27-2005_013.jpg" /></div> <p>she threatened to lick it (to claim ownership) but I got it away from her before she tainted it :o)</p> <p>And now? Now it’s gone – she made me share it with her and I did but I ate my half in about five seconds.</p> <p>THANKS LAURIE!!! It was AWESOME!!! ;o)  (and TOM!!!  Thanks TOM!!!)</p> <p><i>*update* I forgot to mention Tom the first time around…I hope I made up for it ;o)  SORRY TOM!!  PUHLEEZ don’t withhold baked goods because you’re angry with me, k? </i></p>

Mmmm…squash…

<p>Tonight was pumpkin carving night at chez ‘lu – everyone was directed to pick out a squash and gather ’round the kitchen table for family fun time (dammit.) Please remember, the child is grounded at this time so fun was *not* had by all.</p> <p>So since she hasn’t gotten clearance for sharp objects yet we decided to make sure she was watched closely – here is Uncle Dave making sure she didn’t cut anything life-threatening</p> <div style="text-align: left;"><img src="http://jessaluknits.blogspirit.com/images/medium_supervision.2.jpg" alt="medium_supervision.2.jpg" style="border-width: 0pt; margin: 0.7em 0pt;" /></div> <p><i>looks ready to jump in to save her at any moment, doesn’t he?</i></p> <p>Then it was time for me to start working on my pumpkin…</p> <div style="text-align: center;"></div> <div align="left" style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: left;"><img src="http://jessaluknits.blogspirit.com/images/medium_pumpkincarving.jpg" alt="medium_pumpkincarving.jpg" style="border-width: 0pt; margin: 0.7em 0pt;" /></div> <div style="text-align: left;">after we were done it was Roger’s turn – just look at the unwavering concentration, amazing, isn’t it?</div> <div style="text-align: left;"> <div style="text-align: left;"><img src="http://jessaluknits.blogspirit.com/images/medium_pumpkins_015.jpg" alt="medium_pumpkins_015.jpg" style="border-width: 0pt; margin: 0.7em 0pt;" /></div> </div> <div style="text-align: left;">all that work produced these</div> <div style="text-align: left;"></div> <div style="text-align: left;"> <div style="text-align: left;"><img src="http://jessaluknits.blogspirit.com/images/medium_pumpkins-031.jpg" alt="medium_pumpkins-031.jpg" style="border-width: 0pt; margin: 0.7em 0pt;" /></div> </div> <div style="text-align: left;">So now we are asking you to vote – which one do you like the best?</div> <div style="text-align: left;"> </div> <div style="text-align: left;">Thanks for voting! </div> </div> <br /> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.blogpoll.com/poll/view_Poll.php?type=java&poll_id=28589" language="javascript"> </script>And for the record, I counted 7 ‘this sucks’, 19 ‘this is gross’, 493 ‘ewwww’s and 1 ‘I hate you’ (which was p<span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial;">receded</span> by two grown men acting like 12 year olds and picking on her like crazy so I’m letting it slide.  This time.)

Ahhh…completion…
