<p>First, let me show you a photo from our meeting on Wednesday – we had three new knitters! Here is Cathy showing them the ‘ropes’ (so to speak)</p><p /><div align="center" class="serendipity_imageComment_center" style="width: 110px;"><a href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/takingovertheworld.jpg"><img width="110" height="83" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/takingovertheworld.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a><br />…plans to take over the world continue apace…</div><p /><p>All three did a great job – and <a title="Bohemian Bluestocking" target="_blank" href="http://jessaluknits.com/exit.php?url_id=416&amp;entry_id=99" onmouseover="window.status=’http://bohemianbluestocking.blogspirit.com’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;">Cathy</a> did a great job teaching them!</p><p>I’ve been working away at my Jaywalkers – although, I don’t really like them all that much at this point. There is ALOT of pooling going on which I’m trying to ignore and at this point they feel…are you ready for this? TOO LOOSE. Which pisses me off to no end. First, too tight. Now, too loose. I feel like fricken’ Goldilocks. I’ve ordered new Addi’s from Ebay that are the ‘in-between’ metric size that falls between US 1’s and US 2’s. Hopefully those will give me a gauge I’m happy with. Have I mentioned I’ve already frogged these TWICE? Anyway, here’s a photo:</p><p></p><div align="center"><a href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/jaywalkers2.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/jaywalkers2.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=320,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="110" height="83" style="border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/jaywalkers2.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a></div><p></p><p>Please don’t misinterpret me, I know it isn’t the pattern that has the problem, it’s all me. So I’m not badmouthing the pattern one bit. I apparently have big feet and small gauge. Stupid knitting.</p><p></p><p>I forgot to mention this the first time I posted this entry (oops), I signed up for a knit-along of sorts. Lynda has decided that she needs some motivation to meet her goal of only wearing hand-knit socks and has started a sock-along. If you want to join, it’s easy. You go to the site and leave a comment of how many socks you have knit so far in your knitting lifetime and then you post the button <a href="http://jessaluknits.com/exit.php?url_id=419&amp;entry_id=99" title="http://countyoursocks.blogspot.com/" onmouseover="window.status=’http://countyoursocks.blogspot.com/’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;"><img width="177" height="56" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Buttons/socks2.jpg" style="border: 0px none ; float: left; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" alt="" /></a>(after putting it on your own server, of course) along with your current tally (mine is over there under Blogrings, Knitalongs, etc. just click the plus sign and it’ll expand). Once you finish a pair of socks you let her know and you update your tally. I think she has a prize for the most knitted pairs for the year or something. I’m not sure – so go <a href="http://jessaluknits.com/exit.php?url_id=419&amp;entry_id=99" onmouseover="window.status=’http://countyoursocks.blogspot.com/’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;" target="_blank" title="Count Your Socks!">check it out!</a></p><p></p><p>Ohyeah, I’m also on the 2nd (of six…or seven, depending on my mood) repeat of Chart B of the DFS. That project seems to be coming along nicely:</p><p align="center"><a href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/DFSStage1030.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/DFSStage1030.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=320,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="110" height="83" style="border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/DFSStage1030.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a></p><p /><p></p><p>Look ma – a third hand! ;o) What blogger doesn’t need one of those? </p><p><br />Okay I’m off, I have to put down the shawl for right now and find some new and original way to do something with the trash that has been accumulating since Christmas. Why, you ask? Because the trash company that I pay $35 a month to pick up on a weekly basis hasn’t come around since BEFORE the holidays. Yeah, I said before. That means I have Christmas and New Years’ all on the curb. The neighbors just love me to death right now.</p>
