<p>…I *have* been knitting and I have pictures to prove it (spinning is really cool and all but it’s really hard to do when you’re getting a pedicure).</p><p>First, we have the socks. Which, as far as I’m concerned, in the Summertime is *real* knitting. There’s no way I can work on a lap full of wool in 80, 90, whatever degree heat.</p><p><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006034.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006034.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; float: left; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006034.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006041.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006041.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006041.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a></p><p><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006035.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006035.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; float: left; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006035.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006043.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006043.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006043.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a></p><p>Clockwise from top right: Embossed Leaves, some kind of little cable pattern, plain vanilla two socks on one circ (which are probably going to get frogged – I started them last year and I really don’t like them) and my STR sock club socks from March (which I haven’t touched in a month – not a big fan of the pattern).</p><p>Next up we have CeCe:</p><p><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006036.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006036.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006036.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a></p><p>She needs some attention. I <span title="F*cked Up Beyond All Recognition" class="serendipity_glossaryMarkup">FUBAR</span>’d one of the repeats in the middle of the back so I have to wrap my brain around how to fix it without ripping it. She’ll come with this weekend…</p><p>Then we have Madli:</p><p><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006040.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006040.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-12-2006040.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a></p><p>Which is growing, slowly but surely…</p><p>And finally, the French Market Bag (modelled by the lovely <span title="Roger Rabbit – my SO" class="serendipity_glossaryMarkup">RR</span>):</p><p><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/CarShow2006190.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/CarShow2006190.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=351,width=463,top=216,left=288,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/CarShow2006190.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a></p><p>It’s bigger now, I’m on to the 2nd color (main body). I kind of told a little white lie a couple of posts back, I actually cast on for the bag on Friday at the car show. I worked on it alot the other night, though ;o)</p><p>I think that about covers it…the knitting part, anyway.</p><p><span title="My daughter (The Teen)" class="serendipity_glossaryMarkup">Dobby</span> update: Summer school commences on Wednesday and guess who will be there? Yep that’s right, our own little house-elf. She’s thrilled to pieces and was so excited when I told her that she’d be paying for the class out of her own money I thought she’d pop a blood vessel. Guess who isn’t getting a new cell phone for another month? </p><p>And I didn’t have to point at the sign at all today – because she’s at her father’s (running amuck, I’m sure). She’ll be there until Monday since RR and I are taking a little mini-vacation. </p><p>Where are we going, you ask? Vermont. Camping. I can’t freaking wait. This is the first vacation we’ve taken in I don’t know how long that doesn’t revolve around a <strike>stinkin'</strike> car show. We have a tent, an air mattress and a car full of crap that we can probably live without but I’m a firm believer in over-packing. ;o)<br /> </p><p>Now I just have to figure out what knitting to pack…<br /> </p>

  • StoryTime Sampler 3 February 2016

I don’t know if this project will stay here, but I wanted a spot to put all of my photos for the current sampler I’m cross stitching.

I’ve put this on ‘hibernating’ status since I’m trying to decide what to do - I kind of want to pick my favorite 6 and make a mini sampler since there are some books in the mix that aren’t my favorites
