<p>…part two.</p><p>This post will have more photos – I promise.</p><p>What I didn’t mention in my last post was that on Saturday <span title="Roger Rabbit – my SO" class="serendipity_glossaryMarkup">RR</span> and I drove around VT a little bit. We visited the <a target="_blank" href="http://jessaluknits.com/exit.php?url_id=1552&amp;entry_id=225" title="http://www.vermontyarnco.com/" onmouseover="window.status=’http://www.vermontyarnco.com/’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;">Vermont Yarn Company</a> and I bought some roving – however, I can’t really read what the heck is in there. Maybe someone out there can help me?</p><p><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-26-06042.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-26-06042.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-26-06042.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a></p><p>This stuff is like spinning a cloud. LOVE it. (thanks for telling me about the shop, Jessie!) The owner is a very nice lady – very helpful and the shop is very welcoming.</p><p>We drove into Middlebury where I checked out <a target="_blank" href="http://jessaluknits.com/exit.php?url_id=1554&amp;entry_id=225" title="http://www.beadsandfibers.com/" onmouseover="window.status=’http://www.beadsandfibers.com/’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;">Vermont Beads &amp; Fibers</a> (which didn’t really do it for me – too many beads and so much fun fur I got a rash). I actually *gasp* didn’t buy anything! (There will be yarn at the end of this, Marina, I promise.) ;o) We did a little more shopping but our purchases are Xmess gifts so no pics, sorry! (yes, it’s June and yes, I bought presents already. I’ll probably forget all about them come December so don’t be too shocked at my mad organizational skillz).</p><p>Then we headed south to find I swear the only Walmart in VT because I needed another blanket and something else…I don’t remember now, sorry…after the hour in Walmart that got sucked out of our lives we headed back to dinner at Jessie’s – which was fun and delicious and I even had a beer ;o) (her chickens are even cuter in person, btw).</p><p>After dinner we headed back to camp to find that our brand-spanking new Coleman lantern had decided that working for one night was quite enough. Grrrr.</p><p>Sunday morning we went to Donna’s (blogless) to try wheels where I learned that I</p><div class="serendipity_imageComment_right" style="width: 175px;"><div class="serendipity_imageComment_img"><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-26-06019web.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-26-06019web.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-26-06019web.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a></div><div align="center" class="serendipity_imageComment_txt">Lake Champlain on Sunday</div></div> don’t really like the Louet’s – good thing I tried before I bought one, eh? ;o) We had breakfast with Jessie &amp; family then hit the road for Burlington and a little road trip into NY State. I can’t remember why…ohyeah the effing lantern. We needed a new one. So we crossed Lake Champlain over a big-ass bridge (which my grandfather used to take me under in his boat when I was little), found Walmart, exchanged the lantern, bought yet another blanket, then returned to VT on…<p /><p>A ferry. Yes, I rode a ferry and didn’t go all mental ;o) I even have pictures!</p><p><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-26-06027.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-26-06027.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; float: left; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-26-06027.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a> <a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-26-06029.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-26-06029.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-26-06029.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a></p><p>We were halfway across before I realized we were halfway across (to RR’s never-ending enjoyment. He’s never going to let me live it down. I was insisting we were still docked until he made me turn around.)</p><p>So we returned to camp, cooked dinner (burgers and fries – yes, we made fries on the campfire. I am the grilling queen. I can even make cornbread without burning it. Anything to keep from turning the oven on in the summer), went to bed and…</p><p>…it started f*cking raining again. DAMN it. STUPID Mother Nature.</p><p>It rained all. night. (and, guess who snored all the way through it again? Bastard.) We broke camp in. the. rain. Pouring rain. We were somewhat smart about it and wore our bathing suits under the (non) waterproof poncho-like things. I’ve never been so soaked in my life. My car is now a pond on wheels – it is so. gross.</p><p><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-26-06040b.jpg" onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/06-26-06040b.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=192,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;"><img width="175" height="131" style="border: 0px none ; float: left; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/06-26-06040b.serendipityThumb.jpg" alt="" /></a>The highlight of Monday was meeting Erve Henecke and his lovely wife (and buying more fiber) ;o) Unfortunately, he didn’t have a wheel that didn’t try to kick my ass so I only bought…two…bags…wait, three. I also found out why he wasn’t at Mass S&amp;W – he almost wasn’t ‘with’ us at all and now has a pacemaker. (for those who do not know Mr. Henecke is a spinner and weaver who lives in upstate NY and fixes antique wheels – he also has an amazing collection of great wheels. He is featured in the latest issue of Rug Hooking magazine for a bag he designed).</p><p>After visiting with Mr. &amp; Mrs. Henecke we headed home – where I found…</p><p /><p><a class="serendipity_image_link" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photo

I don’t know if this project will stay here, but I wanted a spot to put all of my photos for the current sampler I’m cross stitching.

I’ve put this on ‘hibernating’ status since I’m trying to decide what to do - I kind of want to pick my favorite 6 and make a mini sampler since there are some books in the mix that aren’t my favorites
