Amelia meets…

…sunshine. I was starting to wonder if it would ever happen.

Well, that pretty much sums up my weekend - jealous? ;o)

I also put the finishing touches on my first ‘Stealth Knitting’ project - here’s a taste:

The recipient reads my blog so I can’t show you any more than that ’til it’s been gifted.  Patience!

    Looks like an ideal weekend!
I have a feeling there is an adorable knit on its way to a new owner - if the Peter Rabbit button is any indicator.

I was going to spin on the deck this weekend but I never got around to it. We did have hors d’oeuvres and martinis out there on Saturday afternoon, though.

Let’s see what you spun! The fibre in the basket looks lovely. My colours ;-)

Glad you had a nice weekend! It was nice to finally get some spring weather!

  5. Amy Says:

Y’all have had the worst weather. Glad that the sun is finally poking through.

Great idea! Spinning in the sun. What a wonderful thing to do. Lovely Sonata too! The button is just darling. May the recipient wear it in good health.

It really was the perfect weekend for fiber!

Amelia looks radiant. I can’t wait to do some outdoor spinning. Yard work comes first while the sun shines, though!

  9. Jessica Says:

Definitely looks like a great way to spend the weekend!

I am jealous (except I don’t spin!). The gift is a baby gift I’m assuming. Can’t wait to see it.

  11. Lucia Says:

And high time too! I spent quite a bit of time just admiring my crocuses.

Knitting in the sun! Why didn’t I think about that?! Amelia really does seem quite at home out there, I hope now that tax season is over you’ll have a chance to take her out more.

I can’t wait until you reveal your secret knit, too. I had a Peter Rabbit pendant just like that button, when I was a child. Lucky recipient!

I meant *spinning* in the sun.

Sounds like a great weekend. I like sitting in my front yard in warm weather with the wheel right about the time the school buses come through the neighborhood. It’s really funny watching the bus drivers (as well as others) slow down and try to figure out what I’m doing ;-)

I love being a neighborhood eccentric.

    I spy a Peter Rabbit button…

  16. Kathy Says:

All I want to do is be outside too!

Ahhh, spinning in the sunshine! How could I forget? I should totally take my drop spindle out while the kids are playing in the yard.
