My mom’s old cat used to the do the same thing, up to the point where the cushion would get a permanent dip.

Hooray for Jazz! We have a permanent “dip” on our sofa too where our kitty sits. I’ll bet you thought it was going to be a slam about my husband dincha! Hee. And a messaget o Jazz,”Arf, arffy arf, wuff!”
