Merry Xmess…
…to me!
In all the craziness of the past month, I managed to fit in a gift for myself:
…here it is all laid out next to the tree (with my iPhone for scale – a la crazyfiberlady):
The colors are more true in the first picture. The pattern is the Dragonfly Fire Cowl (rav link) and the yarn is mine. This project took me all of three evenings from beginning to end – it was awesome. I might do another one just for kicks and because this pattern is so easy, it’s like comfort knitting. I don’t have to think about it.
The only drawback to a cowl is what it does to the curly hair. I look like a mad scientist when I take the thing off – I think I scared the crap out of a toddler at the grocery store yesterday. ;o)
This is my official last post until Monday so I’d like to take a moment to wish you all a happy and a healthy!!

Your hair must be curly than mine. I tend to wear my curls down. But I have also been known to trap them under the cowl to add another layer for warmth.
Scaring toddlers is a plus.
It’s lovely! Well done! xo

I love the yarn, the cowl is gorgeous. As for the curly hair effect, maybe I should make me a cowl so I can save some money on the perms I have to get to have curly hair ;).
That’s a lovely FO and the yarn is gorgeous.
