Four years…

…ago I wrote this post and threw my hat into the blogging ring.  Since then, I’ve written 610 posts, received 4,000+ comments, gone through a few template changes and a few hosting changes but the best part  has been the people I’ve come to know over the past four years (second best is learning new and exciting ways to scare myself at midnight – the best time to upgrade a blog).

So I’d like to thank you, my readers, my friends for your readership over the past four years.  For helping me be the blogger that I am and for helping me be a better knitter, spinner and all-around fiber artist.  Because you know, I’m kind of competitive, and having all the other blogs out there to read has helped make me be a little bit better at everything I do.  ;o)

How do I plan on thanking you guys?  By giving away not one, not two, not three but FOUR prizes, randomly picked from the comments on this post.  You all have until midnight Thursday so get to it!  Tell your friends, too!  Let’s make this a rockin’ par-tay, folks!

What are the prizes?  Remember this?

Merino from The Painted Sheep

Yep, handspun.  Good stuff, even.  I hate to let this go but you guys are worth it.

Prize number two is a $25 gift card to The Loopy Ewe.

Prize number three?  A Stitched by JessaLu box bag – I have enough fabric sitting in my kitchen waiting to be cut and sewn into bags, I’m pretty confident that the winner will be able to find something they like.  ;o)

Number four will be a skein of something nice from the sock yarn stash.  I’ll make it blogaversary prize-worthy, trust me.  ;o)

Okay, there you go!  I hope I made it worth your comment time!  Thanks for playing!

p.s.  oh yeah I kind of  purchased Amelia a sister… she hasn’t told me her name yet but here is what I’m currently spinning on her (she deserves an unveiling post of her own so that’s all your getting for now!)

Congratulations on having reached another milestone in your blog life. I read about 40 knit bloggers sites, checking for new postings several times a week, and I look forward to your postings! I admire your ability to write about my favorite subject–knitting/yarn/anything related!

The last time I won something, it was a carton of eggs at the grocery store. I was 12, and my brother and I stuffed the ballot box while my mother was shopping. Your prizes look a lot better than a carton of eggs, but I don’t think you have a ballot box handy!

  2. Happy happy blogiversary!! Awesome prezzies! :) Nice to see Amelia’s sister in action. She’s doing some beautiful work.

    Congratulations!
Hope you survive tax time. You don’t sound nearly as hassled this year as you have in the past.

  5. *twitch… twitch* You’re going to give THAT skein away? That *particular* skein? *drool*

Congrats on your blogiversary! Your blog is always a good read, but what I love it most for is the eye candy. I hope you’re still blogging years from now, and that there’s still that spark that makes it worth while. Thanks for making my bloglines purty.

  6. I tend to be a comment lurker for the most part, but I think I actually delurked to comment on how much I liked that handspun yarn when you posted it the first time. Congrats on your 4 years!

And can’t wait to hear all about Amelia’s sister!

  8. I can’t believe you’d tease with that bobbin shot and nothing more. Nevermind, I *can* believe it.

Muah! And congrats on 4 years. I love that you post more frequently than most nowadays, I enjoy my Jess fix.
