Thankful Thursdays…

…my friend Carole proposed an idea earlier this week.  She was reading Kate’s blog and saw that Kate planned on posting three things she’s thankful for every day in the month of November.  Carole thought it would be a good idea to do this on Thursdays in the month of November and I agree.

Therefore, I give you…my three things for this week.

Us Cropped

1.  RR – he is my center and my rock.  He was let go from his job last week (was there 15 years) and if he wasn’t so optimistic about our situation and willing to do whatever it takes to get work, I’d be a sobbing mess.  (in fact, for the first two days, I was a sobbing mess.  He handled it very well – hence the ‘center and rock’ statement at the beginning)  ;o)

2.  My friends.  IRL and online.  I have some really good ones in both places.  Without you guys, these past two weeks would have been harder to get through.

3.  My daughter.  She’s made me crazy over the years and there are days I wish she’d be more thoughtful but I’m glad I made the decisions I did that brought us to this point.  She is showing more maturity every day and for that I’m very proud.

Now you have my list – tell me, what are you thankful for?

May I use this post and a moment to thank all of you for all your support through the recent events…Really ….Thank You..Those that know me know that I’m a pay it forward kinda guy ..I hope that you never need it but if you do,I hope to be there for you as well..

  2. Awww… you two are so cute! Mr. Tall(ish), Sweet, & Sensitive gets big points in my book. :)

You know. You. Me. ‘Til we crash on a mountain side and one of us has to eat the other to survive.

  3. Just have faith that all things happen for a reason and in the end, it will all work out. Unemployment is a huge stress. Thank goodness that RR has a great outlook!

    Sweet picture:-)

  4. Aww, so sweet! So sorry to hear about RR’s job, but so happy to hear the two of you are so supportive of each other. And, in such a great hat, too!

  5. Well that just sucks that he was let go. Those people have no idea what they just did to themselves, letting such an awesome guy go.

I do hope he finds something speedy quick.

All the best to both of you!

  6. I know just what you’re going thru and how bad it sucks. I wish you and RR all the best and hope that he’s employed again really soon. Its so good that he’s staying positive.

  7. Oh gosh, what a time you must be having!
I hope things work out well for RR (and you).
And thank heavens/something/pitchforks and pointy ears for things to be grateful for. I think I should join in!
(Love the sweater and the light on the fall(en) leaves :-)
