So it begins…aren’t grandmas supposed to churn out the handknits for their grandchildren? ;o)
It only took me two days – there’s something to be said for knitting for small children! Back view:
(Daedo seriously needs to shave more often! ;o) )
Project: Child’s Hat with PomPom from 101 Designer One-Skein Wonders
Yarn: Dancing Leaf Farm Bee Bop – no colorway on label. Purchased at Rhinebeck 2011
Needle: US 7
Time to Knit: TWO DAYS! So awesome.
…just a bit.
Things have been nuts with all the wedding stuff and now trying to get the shop up to par with new listings (there are new listings! Go see! But then come back, because you really, really want to hear this) and now…baby knitting.
NO it’s not for me! But wait…
First, let me show you what I made:
Isn’t that the cutest hat ever? Want to see it close up?
and how about that shrug?
(as always, click for bigger)
Hat: Flower Fairy Hat
Shrug: Whirligig Shrug
Both were knit out of Sereknity Verity Superwash Merino (DK weight) which is lovely to work with – those colors! Amazing!
Want to see how the recipient liked them?
I’m pretty sure she loves them. :o)
What? Oh…uhm…yeah…that’s Dobby and yes, she’s been *ahem* busy. ;o) She is planning on making RR and I grandparents in January! It’s a girl and frankly, I couldn’t be happier. Girl stuff is way more fun to knit! (added bonus, I get to sit back and watch karma happen since we *all* know what a joy Dobby was in her teen years since it’s all documented on this blog!) ;o)
