Spinning…
…I do that sometimes. ;o)
Since I’m not 100% happy with the knitting these days I’ve been spending some time at the wheel. Here is a peek at my ’singles basket’ – this is where I put my bobbins of singles waiting to be plied:
Waiting patiently from left to right we have: two bobbins of Crown Mtn Farms Corrie Pencil Roving in ‘Tibetan Dreams’; two bobbins of Crown Mtn Farms Superwash Merino in ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ and hiding between them a bobbin of Spunky Eclectic Superwash Merino in ‘Grand Opening’. (Thanks to blog-free Manise for helping me figure out that last one, I couldn’t remember the colorway to save my life)
I should be able to get some of this plied up over the weekend since Risa arrives on Friday and when she’s here it turns into a spinfest. ;o) She’s coming up for the Massachusetts S&W fest this weekend – we’ll be there, will you?

According to…
…Laurie, I’m honest and scrappy. Thanks, Laurie!
Since RR and I are in Maine for a few days, Jazz will be accepting this award on my behalf. The Rules, according to Wes (Laurie’s kitty) are:
The Honest Scrap Award means you must say ten honest things about yourself.
Okie doke.
The world according to Jazz:
1. I have an evil twin and it lives in the fireplace. No one can convince me otherwise and one of these days my frantic barking will force this evilness into hiding never to be seen again.
2. Cookies are nummy.
3. I like baths – no, really, I do. Except the part where I get wet. That part sucks, but when Momma says it’s bathtime I *really* like it cuz she makes it sound so exciting!
4. Momma uses a dremel to give me a mani/pedi and I don’t mind at all. My sister (Beanie – not Dobby) hates it but I just lay on my back and watch TV ’til it’s all over.
5. My sister (Beanie – not Dobby) doesn’t like me much, she chases me all the time and when I don’t come in right away when Momma first calls me, she waits by the door and growls REALLY LOUD at me when I come in.
6. I like to chew yarn…it’s soft and fuzzy. I especially like the stuff that has cash in it…or is it mere…maybe both? Cashmere? Yeah, that’s my favorite. Momma says it’s lucky I’m cute whenever she catches me – does anyone know what exactly that means?
7. Cookies are nummy. Do you have any cookies?
8. I love my chew bone…it’s nummy. But not as nummy as cookies. Do you have any cookies?
9. When I have to go in the crate, my people turn up the radio REALLY LOUD. Can someone please tell them that I don’t like NPR and would like classic rock once in a while? thx.
10. Uhm…did someone say I’d get a cookie for making a list? I’m pretty sure I heard someone say there’d be cookies by now.
11. I’m hungry.
After all of the honesty, you pass it along to seven others.
Well, I just tagged people to do the ‘Moment in Time’ meme so I don’t think I’m going to tag anyone specifically. How about this, if you’re reading this? You’re tagged. ;o)
See you Wednesday!

ECF…
…the one with the ‘moment in time’.
Tina tagged me for that meme that’s going around where you need to snap a photo of yourself with no prep or whatever. I’ve been buried in bag orders (thanks, Margene!! woo!) so I haven’t had a chance until now:
Me – snapped on the iPhone while watching Sierra get voted off Survivor. (gawd I hate ex-coach with a passion, he’s SUCH a weasel.)
Your supposed to tag three people and since I’m doing this early I’m going to actually tag people. Ready? Carole, Risa and Cynthia. Haaa! Gotcha. ;o)
I’d like to take a moment to answer a couple of questions put forth in the comments:
Cookie, I love you and this is why I’m telling you this before you try it yourself and end up scarred for life like I did. You do not want to process a fleece. I mean, maybe you truly do and I can’t stop you but I can tell you that I’ve been there and done that and trust me, it ain’t easy. Star is going away to get her bits cleaned up. ;op
I can’t remember the name of where she’s going but she’s going to be processed at a mill in Red Hook where blog-free Becky from my knit group works. I’ll be handing her over into Becky’s capable hands on Tuesday and I will be paying the extra $5 for them to do the skirting. (uhm…ick? and SO worth it)
Steve is…uhm…well…yeah. Steve (who was my first fleece evah – a Coopworth purchased at VT S&W in 2006 for those who are new to these parts) was processed by a local mill (Buckwheat Bridge) and is sitting in my fiber closet. I suppose I should probably work on getting him spun up. I wonder if he’d mix well with Star? I could possibly do a two-ply and then knit a lovely Aran…hmmm…
Okay that about covers it! Have a great weekend, everyone! ;o)
