…Birthday and then I’ll stop for a while, I promise!

Today is a most auspicious day. A day that will live in the hearts and minds of us all. A day that is more important than any other day all year - okay except maybe Christmas. Or Easter, that’s a pretty important day too. Oh and Thanksgiving, that’s up there on the list…or Arbor Day, that’s a day we shouldn’t forget or let pass by without at least one ‘Happy Arbor Day!’ you know, or all the Arbors will be hurt.

Wait. Where was I?

Oh yeah, Birthdays…

Today is RR’s, so I’m asking you all to join me in a nice round of well-wishes - the more the merrier since, you know, the blog has kind of taken away some of our ‘us’ time which has, at times, led to a cranky RR… ;o)

Happy Birthday! Love you - and don’t ever grow up, k? ;o)

The Birthday…

…went off without a hitch. Here is a photo of Dobby blowing out her profiterole ‘cake’:

Birthday!

and the dogs enjoying their own birthday treat (Jazz’ first time with Frosty Paws!):

Doggies like birthdays, too!

Thank you all for your birthday wishes! They made Dobby’s day! :o)

Up next, a Saturday visitor who got to go home with socks!

Oh and I have a question - is anyone else’s ass getting kicked by Daylight Savings Time? *sigh*

My oldest WIP…

…of the knitting kind would have to be Madli’s Shawl. I cast on for her over a year ago and she sits in her basket barely getting any love at all. This is through no fault of her own, it’s all mine.

Now my very oldest WIP at this time of the non-knitting kind would have to be…Dobby. Unlike Madli who is inarticulate and lacks the ability to scream at me for attention, Dobby is definitely in my face daily and getting the attention she needs.

You see, we have reached a very special milestone. Her 18th birthday.

As you can see in this photo, she is the epitome of grace (that’s pumpkin guts she’s snorting there, in case you’re wondering). She gets the gracefulness from my side of the family - the yelling and the inability to do math were the gifts she received from her father’s side. ;o)

I’m all emotional at this turn of events so I’d like to ask you all to help me in wishing her a happy 18th, thanks!

P.S. to Dobby - the answer? is no. I don’t care how old you are, you aren’t getting a door on your room and I’m not gonna stop logging your internet usage. Privacy is a privilege! Love you!
