Whoa time really got away from me this year! No posts from July to December is quite a gap – I’m sorry for the neglect! I’ve been super busy with Stitched by JessaLu, every year it seems I double my sales (which is awesome!) which means I double my workload (which is stressful but awesome!) which means something has to give and apparently this year it was the blog. and vacuuming. I’d promise to try to do better but we all know how that ends up. ;o)
So to move on to what this post is actually about, my boss (yep that’s me) decided I was worthy of a new camera!
That’s a shiny new Pentax K-30 – I am in some serious love with this camera. It’s SO SHINY. The glass is not new, I only purchased the camera body, but I don’t care, the whole thing has me all happy to take pictures again (my old Pentax started having focusing issues, it has gone to get looked at and possibly fixed and R may have a new camera). Wanna see pretty pictures? Okay!
*sigh* I love my new camera. I did no post-processing on those photos, they are posted as shot.
Happy ECF – I’m hoping to talk to you again before (or on) Christmas! ;o)
…the one with all the accidental gardening.
I haven’t had any time to garden this year. This means that my veggie garden is completely fallow for the 2nd year in a row, my tomato buckets are growing some pretty impressive weeds and the rest of my patio looks like it has been completely reclaimed by nature.
However, the morning glories appear to have a mind of their own. While I was out there earlier this afternoon (this would be on Thursday since I’m writing this Thursday night) I noticed some color other than weedy green and it inspired me to go get the camera to take a photo of something other than a box bag:
Isn’t that pretty? How about another angle:
I love when Mother Nature surprises me in a good way, don’t you? :o) Have a great weekend, everyone!
Last weekend, I had a booth at the Sheep & Wool fest in Clermont, NY. It’s one of my favorites, because it is held on the grounds of a lovely mansion on the Hudson River.
This is one of the lions who have stood sentry at the front door for many years. I think he totally deserves a nap. ;o) (photo taken in color, processed B&W)
I’ll be wandering around CT S&W today, will I see you?
…the one with all the bags! I’ve been prepping for vending at the Chancellor’s Sheep & Wool Showcase and I think I’m almost ready…
The show is happening tomorrow, April 21! Will I see you there?
The radio silence on the blog may continue since my next vending venture will be on May 19th at the WEBS tent sale! I do have news though, I’ve been knitting along on my sweater and have the body and most of one sleeve done! I’m knitting the Effortless – I’m sorry I neglected to put that in my ‘look a new project!’ post!
