…the one with all the bags! I’ve been prepping for vending at the Chancellor’s Sheep & Wool Showcase and I think I’m almost ready…
The show is happening tomorrow, April 21! Will I see you there?
The radio silence on the blog may continue since my next vending venture will be on May 19th at the WEBS tent sale! I do have news though, I’ve been knitting along on my sweater and have the body and most of one sleeve done! I’m knitting the Effortless – I’m sorry I neglected to put that in my ‘look a new project!’ post!
First, let me say thank you to everyone who left comments and emailed regarding Beanie. Every one of them helped and mean a lot to both of us. We are doing …better. Jazz still has a lost look in her eyes but she’s getting lots of pets and smooches to help her feel lots of love.
Now, onward :o)
This year, I again sold my bags at the Clermont Festival. The first show on April 23rd was a rainy mess but we had a good turnout and I sold a bunch of bags. I didn’t get a chance to take a lot of photos that day but here is one that sums it up nicely:
This past weekend they had a ‘Market Day’ which was a freebie do-over for those of use who froze and got covered in mud during Clermont 1.0 – turnout wasn’t anything to write home about but we did okay and it was nice to be a little more relaxed.
Hopefully next year the weather will cooperate since this is a wonderful little show on beautiful grounds! Heck, hopefully it will cooperate for Cummington, wet sheep smell terrible.
…I spin? Yeah, I had almost forgotten, myself. ;o)
300ish yards of BFL 2-ply that’s about worsted weight. I’m hoping the knitting fairies will make this into mittens for R so his hands don’t freeze while he’s shoveling snow. Oh wait…*I’m* the knitting fairy around here. Crap. I should probably start knitting these…
In other news…it’s tax season. Hoo and also Ray. In happier news:
Shop update in the works! ;o)
…who knew? ;o)
Things have been all wedding, all the time around here lately so I haven’t been blogging. I’m thinking that you all don’t want to hear about my snail crawl towards the DIY finish line – if I’m wrong, let me know, ok? hehe
Since Wendy and her husband Jody spent all day here yesterday (and by all day I mean they got here at 10:30am-ish and left at 11pm-ish) and we finished the ceremony programs and partially finished the favors, I decided I needed a bit of a wedding-DIY break so I headed up to the Adirondack Sheep & Wool fest at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Okay and I had to drop off bags to Judy and Karin for the VT show next week so it was kind of work related too – but I wasn’t gluing anything papery together so I was happy!
One of the first things I saw was this:
Dave had a CPW in his booth:
very pretty – but if I bring another one home right now I have a feeling the wedding would be off. ;o)
A few other interesting things seen around the show:
and, some buckets at the Ball & Skein booth:
Judy will also have them in her booth at the VT Sheep & Wool show next weekend – the box bags will be in my friend Karin’s booth, I think under Periwinkle Sheep?
I’ve also been doing a bit of spinning here and there, here is my bobbin of ‘contusion’ from Sairy and Holyknitballs shop (they have more listed too…)
Isn’t that pretty?
Okay that’s all for now! Aren’t you glad I popped in to let you know that I’m not dead yet? ;o)
