<p>Hi, my name is Jess and I am stuck in the neverending hell that is the Jaywalker.</p><p>I should have listened to Abi. She told me that I’d regret trying this pattern again and she was right.<a onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/04-04-2006001.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=320,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/04-04-2006001.jpg"><img width="110" height="83" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/04-04-2006001.serendipityThumb.jpg" style="border: 0px none ; float: right; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" alt="" /></a></p><p>At this point I’m going to finish these damned socks if it kills me and they WILL fit. See this? The photo to the right? Took me five minutes to accomplish. With alot of grunting. (wasn’t my most attractive moment). And I’m not counting taking the picture. It took me another seven to get the damned thing off. (with more grunting – and that WAS my most attractive moment. NOT.) The heel? Fits like a dream. The leg? Not so much. </p><p><a onclick="F1 = window.open(‘/uploads/Photos/04-04-2006008.jpg’,’Zoom’,’height=495,width=655,top=144,left=320,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resize=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=yes’); return false;" href="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/04-04-2006008.jpg"><img width="110" height="83" src="http://jessaluknits.com/uploads/Photos/04-04-2006008.serendipityThumb.jpg" style="border: 0px none ; float: left; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;" alt="" /></a>So…the above turned into this (photo on the left) and now I’m knitting the leg on my 2.5mm Addi’s (which are bigger than the standard 2.25mm US 1’s) and so far it slides right on – and I’m trying the damned thing on every 1/2 inch.</p><p>Dammit.</p><p>Oh, and I have perfected knitting with a wrist brace on ;o) Seriously, my arm does feel much better – thank you for the well-wishes!</p><p>Now for the geek portion of our program! I first saw this at <a href="http://jessaluknits.com/exit.php?url_id=940&entry_id=167" title="http://chappysmom.typepad.com/bookworm/" onmouseover="window.status=’http://chappysmom.typepad.com/bookworm/’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;" target="_blank">Deb’s</a> – <font color="#336600">"On Wednesday at two
minutes and 3 seconds after 1 a.m. the time and date will
be<strong> 01.02.03 04/05/06</strong>. (Assuming you write your dates in the American fashion).
That will never happen
again….. at least until 3006… but we won’t see that" </font>Which is so cool and yet so depressing…all at the same time ;o)</p><p>The other thing I stumbled upon was – did you know <a href="http://jessaluknits.com/exit.php?url_id=941&entry_id=167" title="http://widgets.yahoo.com/" onmouseover="window.status=’http://widgets.yahoo.com/’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;" target="_blank">Yahoo! has widgets</a>? How so very cool is that? Anyway, one of the widgets is for <a href="http://jessaluknits.com/exit.php?url_id=942&entry_id=167" title="http://www.chorebuster.net/" onmouseover="window.status=’http://www.chorebuster.net/’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;" target="_blank">Chorebuster.net</a> which should be utilized by every woman who tries like hell to get her kids (and I’m including husbands here) to do chores to help her keep the house at some semblance of clean and doesn’t get cooperation. This site takes the blame away from you by assigning chores FOR you! How cool is that? No longer will you hear, "It’s not fair!" directed at you, now they can blame the algorithms at <a href="http://jessaluknits.com/exit.php?url_id=942&entry_id=167" title="http://www.chorebuster.net/" onmouseover="window.status=’http://www.chorebuster.net/’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;" target="_blank">chorebuster.net</a>! w00t! You don’t need the Yahoo! widgets to utilize chorebuster – they send you a weekly email with your schedule that you can post along with daily emails (if you want them). The widget just gives you a desktop list. Oh and the widgets are still kind of in the testing phase and some aren’t stable…just sayin'</p><p><i>Okay I didn’t stumble upon the widgets. Apparently I was told about them a few weeks ago and don’t remember the conversation. My defense? Was I counting??!? Is this not tax season?!?! Hellooooo, sleep deprived mother of a teen here (what, you think the sleep deprivation stops when they sleep through the night? HA!) – I’m lucky if I remember to put underpants on in the morning, let alone a conversation two freakin’ weeks ago. Sheesh.</i></p><p>And, I think I just broke a record for using the word ‘cool’ in one post.</p><p>Cool.<i></i></p><address><br /><p> </p>
