Last week, I finished my Olympic project, Twist. We had a nice sunny day (and I had a new haircut) so R and I went outside with the camera for a few photos:
Pattern: Twist
Yarn: Dream in Color Classy in the colorway Midnight Derby
Needles: Knitpicks Options size 6 and 7 (used magic loop for sleeves)
Time to Knit: Began project on September 1, 2009 so 6.5 months – this was my 2010 Winter Olympics project in the event WIPs Dancing. I did not finish on time but I was close! At least it motivated me to pick up the needles again and finish my sweater.
Notes: I chose to mostly follow directions on this project. I went with the collar version instead of the hooded one. I wanted the structure of seams so I knit the separate pieces – however, I knit the sleeves in the round and used the EZ method of ‘fake seams’ to help give them structure. The buttons I found at Joann Fabrics.
I think it’s safe to say this sweater makes me happy (or possibly it’s just the photographer…or both). ;o)
