FO: Trillian

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are now having a happy new year!

I actually have an FO to show you – I cast on Trillian right after Christmas and finished it just this week. I have one mod (heavier yarn) but mostly I knit it true to pattern.

Trillian

It was such a simple knit and, since I knit it with worsted weight instead of fingering, it felt like it grew super fast!

Trillian

I picked up this Madeline Tosh Vintage in Flashdance while on a trip to Webs with friends last February. I didn’t really have a plan for it, but I knew I wanted something shawl or cowl-like.

Trillian

Since I have crazy curls, I can’t wear a cowl unless it has buttons. Pulling them over my hair makes everything frizzy and terrible so I avoid that at all costs.

Trillian

I’d much rather have a nice little shawlette to wrap around my neck so I went with this pattern. It flew off my needles and now I have a nice squishy neckwarmer for the winter!

Project Details:

Pattern: Trillian by Martina Behm
Yarn: Madeline Tosh Vintage in Flashdance (worsted weight – pattern calls for fingering), 2 skeins
Needles: Size 8 Knitpicks Interchangeable tips paired with a Knitters Pride cable
Time to Knit: 3 weeks

Trying to get back…

…into the blogging saddle – can you tell? ;o)

I’ve been so busy making bags, I have barely had time to do anything but sew, sleep and eat and the blog has suffered immensely. I’m going to try to put a stop to the suffering – of course, I’ve said that before but this time I have a blogging buddy! My friend Sairy and I are both knitting a sweater and we’re going to blog our progress (she’s a bad blogger too, hehe).

I have my yarn wound and my pattern on my new toy (Santa brought me an iPad) so I am ready to go!

The Beginning

Any guesses on what pattern I’ve chosen? ;o)

Also, over the weekend I celebrated a blog milestone. I’ll be back tomorrow to continue the celebration so get ready for a contest!

*tap* *tap*

…is this thing on?

Wow have I been neglecting the blog!  I’m going to try to stop by and post a little more often than *cough* onceamonth *cough*, I promise!

For today, I thought I’d share my Knit in Public Day knitting:

My KIP knitting

Yep, that’s it.  The start of a toe.  At least I did something, right?  ;o)  I was happy I remembered what day it was and that I needed to leave the house!

What did you do on Saturday for KIP Day?
